Nimuë awoke three times in the night, calling out and screaming. Each time I thought Merlin might vomit, as though someone had cut his testicles off without even a glass of wine to get him through.

Now we are back around the tables in the bar, still looking over the last of the books. We have been at this all morning and now the sun must be high in the afternoon sky. The read-and-useless pile far outweighs the read-and-might-be-useful pile. Most books have winding language and aren’t interested in clarity. That or they have no idea and are more interested in the craft of words than facts themselves.
